This is the title of an exciting two-day workshop for leaders of small churches, led by Kevin Martin.
Kevin is a good friend of the Institute of Evangelism, and has been very helpful to us in the past. He has also spoken in classes at Wycliffe College. His last ministry posting before “retirement” was as Dean of the Episcopal Cathedral in Dallas, where (among other things) he helped turn around a declining inner city Church, while also building up one of the larger Hispanic congregations in the Episcopal Church.
Although this is a workshop which can be hosted by any and all denominations, Kevin was most recently in Canada to speak for the Anglican Diocese of Calgary. The bishop there, Greg Kerr-Wilson, wrote about the event:
“About 100 were present, and we received a tremendous amount of positive feedback. They felt encouraged and empowered, and we received repeated requests to have Kevin back. His insights, information and stories have given many of our small congregations a new sense of hope.”
Kevin’s books include 5 Keys for Church Leaders: Building a Strong, Vibrant and Growing Church (2006) and The Myth of the 200 Barrier: How to lead Through Transitional Growth (2005).
